VCC’s 16-month Practical Nursing program teaches students quality nursing care to clients of all ages and how-to succeed in the many challenging opportunities available to practical nurses in B.C. Designed to provide learners with the knowledge, skills, judgments and attitudes to perform to the full range of competencies as identified by the BCCNP, the practical nursing program will also prepare graduates to care for individuals and families at multiple life stages, in a variety of practice settings. VCC’s 13-month Access to Practical Nursing Diploma lets you apply your previous training and experience as a Health Care Assistant (HCA) or Resident Care Attendant (RCA) to accelerate your practical nursing training.
