The Students’ Union of VCC offers an inclusive, practical and fun environment, physical as well as online, for students to share experiences, skills and concerns.
Within a few years, the Students’ Union of Vancouver Community College (SUVCC) has fostered a vibrant and engaged student community at VCC. The SUVCC’s mission is to provide an inclusive, practical and fun environment, physical as well as online, for students to share experiences, skills and concerns. It is regarded as the access point to the VCC community for new students, and immigrants, and as the natural centre of the student life and community.

History and services
The Students’ Union of VCC was formed in 1974 to become the representative body of 13,000 students at Vancouver Community College.
As a part of caring about the well-being of its membership, the SUVCC is connected to the heart of campus life, providing students with access to recreation, events, and opportunities to contribute to the community. A member of the BC Federation of Students, and an advocate for students rights, the SUVCC has successfully lobbied for and implemented a standardized and fair-priced Universal Transit Pass for all Metro Vancouver students.
The SUVCC also provides its students with a tailored, high-quality health and dental plan that meets the needs of its diverse constituency.
