This course provides the technical training component for apprentices in the Automotive Glass Technician program. In this course, students learn the principles of removal, installation, and general servicing of both stationary and movable glass in motor vehicles and related equipment. Instruction also includes windshield repair techniques and vehicle preparation for delivery.

Delivery Format:
• On-Campus Component: 3 weeks (90 hours) of hands-on training

Assessment and Certification:

• Students must achieve a minimum final grade of 70% to qualify for certification
• A grade of 70% or higher qualifies students to:
- Receive SkilledTradesBC Technical Training credit for Automotive Glass Technician
- Write the SkilledTradesBC Certification of Qualification Exam

Prerequisites

Students must be registered apprentices in the SkilledTradesBC Automotive Glass Technician program and have a valid SkilledTradesBC ID number.
