My time at Vancouver Community College’s Music and Dance Program has been nothing short of transformative. What began as a pursuit of artistic excellence evolved into a journey that not only refined my skills but also shaped me into a more confident and expressive individual.

Application Process

The BScN program is an annual selection based program based on a combination of GPA and CASPer assessment. You must meet a minimum GPA of 2.33 in order to be considered, based on your 18 required university transfer credits. If you are taking university transfer courses at VCC, you do not need to request to have your VCC transcripts sent to the Admissions office.

If you are applying for a September intake, any in progress pre-requisite courses must be completed in the fall term of the previous year (September to December of the year before your intake). You must also complete your CASPer test by the published deadlines. The CASPer assessment is valid for one admission cycle only. CASPer results are not provided to applicants by CASPer or VCC admissions. Please see the CASPer Information for Prospective Students for details.

Indigenous applicants: You are encouraged to reach out to Indigenous Services for assistance with becoming a VCC student.

Acceptable university level courses: If you completed your university level courses in BC, you are strongly encouraged to check the transferability of your courses to VCC in the BC Transfer Guide. Only transferable courses meet the educational requirements (for example, BCIT BHSC 1200 is not accepted for BIOL 1120/1220 credits). In the BC Transfer Guide, remember to enter the institution you completed your course at in the 'from' field and VCC in the 'to' field.

  • Note: If your courses were completed outside of BC, or if you have questions about the transferability of your courses, please call 604.871.7000, option 2 to make an appointment with an Advisor.
