This is your step-by-step guide to booking an assessment at VCC. Assessments are for VCC programs only.
English & Math

- These assessments are for VCC admission and placement only
Most assessments take place at VCC’s Broadway campus in a computer lab with standard equipment, time limits, and other students present.
If you have a documented need and require accommodations (such as a screen reader, scribe, extended time, or access to a quiet room):

- Arrangements must be made before booking your assessment
Take time to get ready for your assessment. Practice resources are available for:
Before booking, make sure you have:
- Your VCC ID number
- The name of your program or course
- The name of the assessment you need
- A credit card (debit not accepted)
- An understanding that completing an assessment does not guarantee admission
Book your assessment:
- Book an English assessment
- Book a Math assessment – Note: Health sciences math is no longer required for Sept 2025 LPN/Access LPN/BSN/BSN Advanced intakes.
- Book a Keyboarding assessment
Assessment fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Location: All assessments take place in person at the VCC Broadway campus
- ID: Bring one piece of government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license, or BC Services Card)
- Timing: Arrive on time — late arrivals will not be admitted, and fees will not be refunded or transferred
- Results: Results will be sent to you by email as soon as possible
Please note:
- It is your responsibility to confirm and book the correct assessment for your program
- The assessment schedule may change without notice
You can reschedule your assessment if you email assessments@vcc.ca at least 48 hours before your booked time.
- Less than 48 hours’ notice = you must rebook and pay again.
Keyboarding
The keyboarding assessment is for VCC programs only.
Total cost: $41
– $20 + GST for the Typist voucher
– $20 proctoring fee
Steps to book
Make sure you have:
- Typist voucher number
- Your VCC ID number
- The name of your program
- Go to the VCC RegisterBlast site
- Read and follow the instructions carefully (additional $20 to proctor the keyboarding)
- Choose the Typist Keyboarding assessment
- Choose a date and time
- Go to VCC’s Broadway campus on your assessment day
- Identification: You need to show one piece of government-issued photo identification to enter the assessment room (e.g. a valid passport, driver’s license, BC Services Card)
- Arrive on time! If you are late, you will not be able to enter the assessment room. Your fee payment cannot be refunded or transferred
