Many VCC programs are designed to be accelerated programs, which means that a study program can be completed in less time than the normal length of the program. This should not impact the length of your PGWP as long as you maintain full-time academic status throughout your program. Check the Post-Graduation Work Permit page for details.
One of the documents you are required to have is a Study Permit Extension letter from VCC. Complete the Study Permit Extension Support Letter and follow the instructions to upload it to myVCC to submit the request.
VCC also offers immigration-related workshops, including study permit extension. Register to attend a workshop if you need to learn more about the process.
For information about extending your study permit, visit the Study Permit page for details.
For information about visas required to enter Canada, check out the Entering Canada page for details.
You will need to write an invitation letter on your own and provide an official Confirmation of Enrolment. Get more information about inviting family to Canada.
Complete the Confirmation of Enrolment request letter and follow the instructions to upload it to myVCC to submit the request. You may also want to print out your unofficial transcript and course schedule from your myVCC account, in case the immigration officials request them when you return.
