Ready2Work International
VCC can help you build a successful job search plan and advance your career! There are various VCC services ready to help you navigate your current and long-term career options. Remember to check out the career guidance offered to VCC students and alumni. In addition to the services provided by career guidance, international students can also access the free Ready2Work International workshops to get more support. Students who fully participate in these workshops can be eligible for 1:1 coaching sessions with a career expert. Different topics are offered each term, and the workshops are offered on different days and times to fit your schedule.

Coaching sessions
If you attend a Ready2Work international workshop, you can book a free one-on-one coaching session with the workshop facilitator. Take advantage of these free coaching sessions to help you feel more confident in your Canadian job search.
Coaching is not counselling. If you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious about work or your future, VCC Counselling Services is available to support you.
If you attended a Ready2Work International workshop until the end and answered the attendance poll, you will be emailed instructions on how to view updated appointment availability in VCC Works. You’ll get an email from careerLAB@vcc.ca with instructions to sign up if you are eligible.
All coaching appointments are online. All appointments are 50-minutes long. Coaching sessions are limited, so your appointment is a commitment. If you need to cancel, let us know at least 5 business days before your appointment. If you cancel too late or do not show up, you will not be able to book another session unless you attend another Ready2Work workshop.
Complete the free Resume & Cover Letter Moodle course available to VCC students before attending the coaching sessions, so your coach can provide more feedback.
You can also access additional resources that may help you get started before attending a coaching session.
